NEW Rustic Mountain Retreat - 30 mi. from Yosemite

Jessie’s home was perfect for our family of 6. The rooms were clean and spacious and everything indoors was as expected. We did have an issue with the dishwasher being clogged while there but the response time was quick even though it couldn’t be fixed in time during our stay. No biggie. My only suggestion would be for the outside area. We have two young kids and knew that the pool and hot tub would be a big hit with them. Unfortunately the pool needs a good cleaning, there was algae on the pool floor and wall, and overall just better maintenance. The back patio and “pool house” also needed some attention as well. There was a lot of build up from plant debris and spiderwebs in the patio and rodent droppings in the pool house. Overall, home and location is still 5 stars. Food and gas is 5 minutes away in the town of Mariposa which is tiny but packs a lot in with historical charm. It was about an hour’s drive into Yosemite Valley so keep that in mind if you don’t mind commuting

We had a great week at Jessie’s place celebrating my dad for his 60th birthday! It’s an easy hour drive into Yosemite, and it’s a five minute drive away from a well-stocked grocery store. The kids loved the pool after hiking all day. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of extra towels provided. The kitchen is amazing with a six burner gas stove that was a joy to cook on. The backyard was so peaceful and we often saw deer hanging out there in the early mornings and evenings. If and when we come back to visit Yosemite, we will definitely be staying with Jessie again!
